One of the loveliest things about dried flowers is that you can send real blooms to someone—even if they live far away. No scrambling to call a florist last minute, no wilting worries, no stress.

Just thoughtful beauty tucked inside a box, ready to brighten someone’s day.

I’ll never forget one of the first craft fairs where I introduced our Jars of Joy collection—our series of dried flower mason jar greeting cards. A customer came up to me with a huge smile and said:

“Flowers and a card? You just made my life SO much easier! My sister loves flowers, but I’ve been too busy to call a florist near her home. Now, I can just send her flowers and a card in the mail for her birthday. Thank you!”

Moments like that remind me why I love what I do—making joy and connection a little simpler, a little more beautiful.

How to Pack Dried Flowers for the Mail

Yes, our cards make sending a mini bouquet with a love note wonderfully easy. But if you’re mailing your own dried bouquet—whether picked up from a local shop or arranged by your hands—the key to success is all in the packaging.

Here’s what to keep in mind:

1. Choose the right size box.
Your bouquet doesn’t need a ton of extra space. Too small and it gets crushed, too big and it rattles around. Aim for about two inches of room around your bouquet so it’s snug but not squished.

2. Wrap it well.
Butcher paper or crinkle tissue works beautifully. Wrap your bouquet in at least 2–3 layers to keep the flowers fully covered and cushioned.

3. Create a nest.
Line your box with soft tissue, leaving a cozy space in the center for your bouquet. Place the flowers gently in the middle, then tuck more tissue around the edges to fill any gaps. Think of it as building a little bed so your blooms stay safe and supported.

4. Secure and send—with love.
Seal up your package, slip in a handwritten note, and your flowers are ready to travel.

A Note on Natural Beauty

When sending dried flowers—especially those left pure and untreated—it’s normal for a few petals or bits to crumble in transit.

That’s the charm of natural blooms. Unlike chemically preserved flowers, they’re free from preservatives and off-gassing.

What your loved one receives is 100% natural beauty—delicate and real.
